Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor for our Cardiff team to manage a small crew, coordinate rotas, holidays and performance, and deliver training to operatives. You will maintain records and uphold high cleanliness standards in a safe environment.

The role includes weekly cleaning audits, adherence to safety protocols, and potential use of heavy equipment or working at heights. Right to work in the UK and prior supervisory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• You must have Right to Work in the UK.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Background working in cleaning or food manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

About The Role:

At OCS, our cleaners play an important part in providing safe, clean environments in which our customers can thrive in their workspaces.

As Supervisor, you will ensure that cleaning staff perform their duties efficiently, maintain high cleanliness standards, and contribute to a safe and hygienic environment.

Working Pattern:

Saturday and Sunday – 7am to 9:15am

Monday to Friday – 8am to 10:15am

(Tuesday off)

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Managing a small team, looking after rotas, holidays, and performance and responsible for delivering training to all cleaning operatives and ensuring all records are updated correctly.
• Responsible for conducting cleaning audits on a weekly basis and escalating any areas of concern
• An awareness of the need to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
• This role may require the use of heavy industrial equipment, specialist chemicals and working at heights.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• You must have Right to Work in the UK
• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• A background working in cleaning/ food manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
• Willingness to work at height.
• COSHH and IOSH trained desirable.
