Job summary

Totally Local Company is hiring for a part-time, permanent cleaner based at Didsbury High School. The role is on-site in Stockport, with 15 hours per week (Mon–Fri 15:00–18:00). No experience necessary; a Disclosure and Barring Check is required.

Responsibilities

• You'll use equipment, machinery and cleaning materials effectively, efficiently and in accordance with safe working practices to carry out your duties.
• You'll check and report faults with equipment, machinery or the building to the on-site supervisor, describing the fault clearly.
• You'll maintain good relationships with clients and handle minor queries or complaints, escalating significant issues to the supervisor.
• You'll participate in staff training and work in line with the Authority's Health and Safety Policy.
• You'll perform any additional duties related to the work of the section appropriate to the post, as and when required.

What you will be doing in this role

• You'll maintain good working relationships with clients and deal with any minor queries or complaints, and to relay any significant customer issues to the on site supervisor or Area Manager for further action.
• You'll participate in staff training programmes and to carry out all duties in a responsible manner with due regard to the Authority's Health and Safety Policy.
• You'll perform any additional duties related to the work of the section appropriate to the post, as and when required.
