Job summary

Totally Local Company is hiring for a part-time, permanent cleaner based at Didsbury High School. The role is on-site in Stockport, with 15 hours per week (Mon–Fri 15:00–18:00). No experience necessary; a Disclosure and Barring Check is required.

You will join our cleaning team and help maintain high standards in a community school environment. We offer annual leave and public holidays included in salary, lifestyle benefits, a Cycle to Work scheme, and a Nest Pension with employer contribution.

Responsibilities

• You'll use equipment, machinery and cleaning materials effectively, efficiently and in accordance with safe working practices to carry out your duties.
• You'll check and report faults with equipment, machinery or the building to the on-site supervisor, describing the fault clearly.
• You'll maintain good relationships with clients and handle minor queries or complaints, escalating significant issues to the supervisor.
• You'll participate in staff training and work in line with the Authority's Health and Safety Policy.
• You'll perform any additional duties related to the work of the section appropriate to the post, as and when required.
