Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Cleaning Operative to join the FM team at Bedminster Down School in Bristol. The role is 17.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 3pm–6.30pm, on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Your duties include cleaning to the site specification, tidying floors and sanitary areas, waste collection, refilling consumables, reporting faults and ensuring health and safety compliance. Experience in cleaning is welcomed but not required.

• Experience in cleaning is desired but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning to the specification for the premises.
• Clean floors, walls, partitions and internal woodwork as appropriate.
• Clean toilets, changing rooms and other sanitary areas.
• Collect waste and dispose of it appropriately.
• Clean and maintain waste bins.
• Refill and replace consumables.
• Report faulty equipment and other maintenance requirements to appropriate person.
• Lock rooms after cleaning.
• Ensure lights and other equipment are switched off as appropriate.
• Promote and ensure the health and safety of staff and visitors at all times.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and COSHH procedures.

Making Possible
