Job summary

BAM Site Solutions seeks an Accommodation Maintenance Operative based in Kilsyth to perform refurbishment, fit-out and maintenance of portable accommodation units in workshop and site environments, complying with current standards. The role emphasises health and safety, customer focus and working with a team.

Applicants should have plumbing, joinery and decorating experience, a clean driving licence, and be able to multi-task in a dynamic environment with a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• A clean driving licence preferred.
• Experienced in Plumbing, Joinery and Decorating; suitable for a maintenance/handy person.
• Able to multi-task and prioritise a busy workload.
• An enthusiastic team player with a highly professional attitude.
• Slinger/Signaller preferred; CPCS categories suitable.
• MPBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• General refurbishment, fit out and maintenance of Portable Accommodation units in a workshop and site environment to current standards and regulations.
• Health & Safety is prioritised in all tasks.
• Preparation for painting; fitting doors, partitions, floors, sinks, taps and worktops.
• Operate plant safely and assist with depot maintenance and utilities as required.
• Attend sites for refurbishment per manager's requests and ensure compliance with standards.

39 hours a week, 8am - 4.30pm Monday -Thursday & 8am - 3.30pm Friday. Overtime will be available.

• Placing Health & Safety of all involved in the business as your top priority
• General refurbishment, fit out and maintenance of Portable Accommodation units in a workshop environment to current standards and regulations
• Preparation for painting, fitting doors, partitions, floors, sinks, taps and worktops.
• Doing it right first time and identifying failures to prevent recurrence
• Operating procedures and documented systems
• Understanding and fulfilling your customers’ needs
• Supporting BAM in all its operations as required
• Minimising the environmental impact on your operation
• Striving for profitable growth
• Various other tasks as defined by your line manager associated with your role
• Attend sites to carry out refurbishment as per managers request and to current standards and regulations
• Assist with implementation of Your Safety Is My safety
• Ensure standards align with new BAM values
• Work efficiently and safely alongside other team members
• Assist with depot maintenance and utilities as and when required
• Ensure workplace risk assessments are being used prior to work commencing
• Operate plant safely, as and when required, in relation to role
