The Housing Network is seeking a Cleaning Operative to support vulnerable individuals and families across Reading and surrounding areas. You will ensure properties are cleaned to a high standard with tight turnaround times and contribute to ongoing maintenance tasks.

Working Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30, you will be part of a team dedicated to better accommodation, support, and partnerships. A company vehicle and health benefits accompany a £28,000 annual salary.

Qualifications

• Experience working independently, as well as part of a team.
• Passion for what The Housing Network does and representing that.
• Experience in professional cleaning, ideally including end of tenancy or deep-cleaning environments.
• A good level of understanding cleaning tools, and equipment.
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsabilités

• Ensure properties are returned to a high standard of cleanliness with tight turnaround times.
• Carry out scheduled work on void properties to meet contract targets.
• Clean rooms/communal areas to a high quality standard.
• Clean void rooms to prepare for new residents.
• Remove rubbish and dispose of correctly.
• Check kitchen and laundry appliances are clean and safe.
• Ensure communal areas are hygienic and well maintained.
• Report repairs to the maintenance office team.
• Carry out sharps sweeps.
• Follow COSHH and company policies.

Cleaning Operative

Location - South Central region, covering Reading and Surrounding Areas

Hours - Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

We are in an exciting period of growth and are looking for experienced and passionate people to help us support vulnerable individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

What you'll be doing:

• Ensuring that properties are returned to a high standard of cleanliness with tight turnaround times
• Carry out scheduled work on void properties to bring back up to a high standard and in accordance with the Council's targets prescribed in the contract
• Cleaning of rooms/communal areas as directed, ensuring that all rooms/communal areas are maintained to a high quality standard
• Cleaning void rooms to prepare them for new residents.
• Remove rubbish and dispose of correctly.
• Check kitchen and laundry room appliances are clean and free from hazards and common part areas are free from hazards and are clean as directed regularly
• Ensure that the communal areas are hygienic and well maintained.
• Report any repairs to the maintenance office team.
• Carry out sharps sweeps
• Follow all COSHH and company polices

About you:

• Experienced working independently, as well as part of a team
