Job summary

The Housing Network is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative to join our team in the Kettering/Northampton region. You will perform responsive and planned maintenance to ensure safe, well-maintained accommodation for vulnerable residents.

Role requires hands-on skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing and basic electrical work, with travel between properties and adherence to contract targets. DBS checks apply, visa sponsorship is not available, and a company vehicle is provided for

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Operative in accommodation-based settings preferred.
• Ability to perform basic carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance on void properties to high standards and in line with contract targets.
• Travel between properties within the specified region to carry out repairs.
• Oversee maintenance of common areas.
• Basic carpentry such as door hanging and changing locks.
• Painting and decorating, basic plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Ensure garden areas are clear and fences maintained.

Maintenance Operative - Kettering/Northampton

Salary - £35,000 Per Annum

Working Hours - Monday Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

• Looking for an opportunity to use your skills, experience and commitment to transform the lives of highly vulnerable people
• Experienced working with all aspects of responsive property maintenance as well as planned maintenance, providing safe accommodation for vulnerable individuals and families

What you'll be doing:

• Carry out scheduled work on void properties to bring back up to a high standard and in accordance with the Council's targets prescribed in the contract
• Travelling from property to property within a specific region
• Oversee maintenance of common areas
• Basic carpentry, including door hanging and changing locks
• Painting and decorating, basic plumbing and electrical work
• Ensure the garden area is clear including fencing
