Niyaa People is seeking a reliable Cleaning Operative to work across supported housing properties in Manchester and surrounding areas. You will maintain safe, clean communal spaces, rooms and void properties, with both planned and responsive cleaning tasks.

The successful candidate will demonstrate cleaning experience, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A full UK driving licence and Enhanced DBS check are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional cleaning within housing or similar settings.
• Ability to maintain high cleanliness standards across communal areas and rooms.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Confident with basic IT tools and iPad usage for recording tasks.
• Reliable, adaptable and able to prioritise workload.
• Understand safeguarding and able to report concerns.
• Hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Clean communal areas, rooms and void properties to high standards.
• Prepare empty properties for new residents.
• Remove and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
• Check kitchens, laundry facilities and communal areas for hazards.
• Report repairs, maintenance issues and safeguarding concerns.
• Carry out sharps sweeps where required.

• Travel between local properties across Manchester and surrounding areas.

We are looking for a reliable and professional Cleaning Operative to join a supported housing team, helping to maintain safe, clean and welcoming accommodation for residents across Manchester and the surrounding areas.

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards across supported accommodation, including communal areas, rooms and void properties. The role involves both planned and responsive cleaning, ensuring properties are safe, hygienic and ready for new residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean communal areas, rooms and void properties to a high standard.
• Prepare empty properties for new residents.
• Remove and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
• Check kitchens, laundry facilities and communal areas are clean and free from hazards.
• Report repairs, maintenance issues and safeguarding concerns.
• Carry out sharps sweeps where required.
• Use an iPad and compliance systems to record and update work.
• Work professionally with residents, colleagues and contractors.
• Travel between local properties across Manchester and surrounding areas.

Whats on offer

• Permanent, full-time position
• £25,000–£30,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
