Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Cleaning Operative to join our FM segment and be based at the Tudor Grange Samworth Academy in Leicester. Working 10 hours a week from 6.00am to 8.00am, Monday to Friday, for 40 weeks per year.

Pay is £12.71 per hour. The enhanced family-friendly package includes health and parental leave benefits, and the DBS check will be required for this role.

Qualifications

• A DBS check is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning to specification for the premises.
• Clean all surfaces, fixtures and fittings.
• Clean floors, walls, partitions and internal woodwork.
• Clean kitchen and catering areas.
• Clean toilets, changing rooms and sanitary areas.
• Collect and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Maintain a purposeful, orderly and productive working environment.
• Maintain records as requested.
• Refill and replace consumables.
• Report faults and maintenance needs to the appropriate person.
• Secure entrances/exits and report security breaches.
• Ensure lights and equipment are switched off.
• Promote health and safety for staff and visitors.
• Monitor stock and supplies; catalog as required.
• Maintain specialist equipment and report damages.
• Comply with health, safety and COSHH policies.
• Demonstrate safe use of equipment.

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Cleaning Operative to join our FM segment of the business and to be based out of the Tudor Grange Samworth Academy in Leicester. Working 10 hours a week 6.00am - 8.00am Monday - Friday. Working 40 weeks per year.

Making Possible

• Cleaning in accord with the specification for the premises.
• Clean all surfaces, fixtures and fittings.
• Clean floors, walls, partitions and internal woodwork as appropriate.
• Clean kitchen/catering areas.
• Clean toilets, changing rooms and other sanitary areas.
• Clean equipment after use.
• Undertake special cleaning programmes during designated periods.
• Collecting and appropriate disposing of waste.
• Clean and maintain waste bins.
• Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and productive working environment.
• Maintain records as requested.
• Refill and replace consumables.
• Report faulty equipment & other maintenance requirements to appropriate person.
• Maintain the security of premises by securing entrances/exits as appropriate and reporting potential security breaches.
• Ensure lights and other equipment are switched off as appropriate.
• Promote and ensure the health and safety of staff & visitors at all times.
• Monitor and manage stock and supplies, cataloguing as required.
• Maintenance of specialist equipment, check for quality/safety, and report other damages/needs.
• Ensure compliance by self and others with all health and safety policies and COSHH procedures.
• Demonstrate and assist others in safe and effective use of specialist equipment/materials.
