Job summary

Samphire Star Education Trust is seeking a reliable Cleaning Operative to join Shatterlocks Infant and Nursery School, with responsibilities across classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas.

The role is 20 hours per week (3pm–7pm, Monday to Friday). We may run two 10-hour-per-week positions. You will help maintain high cleanliness standards and report any maintenance or safety issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team at Samphire Star Education Trust, at Shatterlocks Infant and Nursery School.

The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas.

The position is for 20 working hours per week, however we are prepared to consider opening two positions at 10 hours per week. The expected hours are 3pm-7pm Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• General cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
• Ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and ready for the next school day
• Reporting any maintenance or safety issues

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential
