Job summary

Samphire Star Education Trust is seeking a reliable Cleaning Operative to join Shatterlocks Infant and Nursery School, with responsibilities across classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas.

The role is 20 hours per week (3pm–7pm, Monday to Friday). We may run two 10-hour-per-week positions. You will help maintain high cleanliness standards and report any maintenance or safety issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to health and safety and safeguarding standards.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.
• Ensure all areas are clean, safe, and ready for the next school day.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues.
