Job summary

ABM UK is hiring a cleaner for Arena Shopping Park in Coventry. This permanent role involves maintaining a clean and tidy shopping environment across indoor and outdoor areas, with a customer-focused approach at its heart.

You will work 37.5 hours per week (5 days out of 7) at £13.32 per hour, with shifts starting as early as 6am and finishing as late as 9pm once a week. Benefits include access to 24/7 GP, mental health support, cycle to work scheme and employee perks.

Responsibilities

• Dust mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and cleaning public areas.
• Operate ride-on floor scrubber to polish floors.
• Clean toilets and sanitize fixtures.
• Empty bins and manage waste in service yard.
• Litter picking in car park.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and restock supplies.
• Support supervisors to deliver high service.
• Perform additional duties as needed within reason.

LOCATION: Arena Shopping Park, Coventry

SHIFT PATTERN: 37.5 hours per week, 5 out of 7

PAY RATE: £13.32 per hour

Role Overview And Purpose

This is a permanent contract. Arena Shopping Park is an indoor and outdoor shopping centre housing over 35 retail shops and restaurants. We are looking to appoint an experienced cleaner to help provide a well maintained, clean and tidy shopping environment. The customer experience should be at the heart of everything you do.

Key Responsibilities

• Dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, removing litter, cleaning glass doors/windows, cleaning stainless-steel fixtures and bollards, and removing chewing gum.
• Using a ride on floor scrubber dryer to polish and clean floors
• Cleaning public toilets, cleaning and sanitising fixtures, cleaning mirrors, doors/walls and sinks, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning urinals.
• Emptying bins, collecting waste from retailers, and compacting and organising waste in service yard.
• Litter picking outside in car parking area.
• Maintenance of cleaning equipment and re-stocking supplies.
• Assist team supervisors when needed to ensure optimum service to clients.
• Perform additional duties as needed, within reason.
• Comply with training sessions delivered by the supervisor/line manager as necessary.

Essential

• Cleaning experience in both an indoor and an outdoor setting

• Experience using a variety of cleaning machinery such as scrubber dryers, buffers, carpet cleaners, road sweepers.
