Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our team at a busy site in Edinburgh. You’ll help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment, delivering high standards across allocated areas and working with the Line Manager to complete daily tasks.

The role requires use of cleaning products safely, COSHH awareness, and a professional approach to customer service. Shift: 6:30am–8:30am, Monday to Friday, 10 hours per week, with parking on site and EV charging facilities.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable.
• Good knowledge of cleaning products and chemicals.
• Strong customer service and professional approach.
• Methodical and organised approach to work.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleaning standards across all allocated areas, completing daily, weekly and periodic tasks efficiently and on time.
• Use cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals safely, following COSHH guidelines and only using equipment after appropriate training.
• Maintain a safe working environment by using appropriate safety signage and promptly reporting hazards, faulty equipment, accidents and other incidents.
• Keep cleaning stores and equipment clean, tidy and secure, ensuring supplies are monitored and low stock levels are reported.
• Maintain professional standards of personal hygiene and appearance, attend required training and meetings, provide cover when needed, and respond to reasonable management requests.
