Job summary

St Julie’s Catholic High School in Liverpool is seeking a part-time Cleaning Assistant to join the Premises Team. The role supports the Cleaning Supervisor and Facilities Manager in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the school site.

The position runs 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday 3:00 pm–5:00 pm, term time plus 10 hours of holidays. Salary is Grade 1 (Point 3), actual £6,360 with 26 days’ holiday. DBS and references will be checked in line with safeguarding requirements.

• Experience in cleaning roles or similar responsibilities.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and adhere to safety protocols.

Overview

St Julie’s Catholic High School is a popular and oversubscribed school for girls, located in the conservation area of Woolton Village, South Liverpool. In September 2017, we moved into our brand new £23 million school building.

Position

1. An enthusiastic and reliable Cleaning Assistant is required to join the Premises Team and support the Cleaning Supervisor and Facilities Manager in maintaining the site using various cleaning equipment.
2. Hours of work: 10 hours per week (Part time). Monday to Friday: 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm. Term time only (39 weeks per year) plus 10 hours during school holidays.
3. Salary: Grade 1 (Point 3). Actual salary £6,360. Pay Award Pending. 26 days holiday included.

Requirements / Safeguarding

1. All offers of employment are subject to pre-employment checks including satisfactory references and Enhanced DBS and Barred List checks (the post involves regulated activity with children).
2. The post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (as amended in 2013 & 2020) and shortlisted candidates must disclose any relevant criminal history prior to interview. An online search will be completed for shortlisted candidates prior to interview.
