Job summary

Castleford Trust is seeking a Cleaning Assistant for Castleford Academy to help maintain a clean and hygienic school environment. The role is 13.75 hours per week (3.00pm-5.45pm, Monday to Friday) with an actual salary of £9,214 per year (£24,796 FTE).

You will join a supportive team within the academy and benefit from safeguarding commitments, DBS processes, and access to staff wellbeing support offered by the Trust.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning all surfaces, fixtures and fittings, walls, partitions and internal woodwork as appropriate.
• Cleaning floors using both hoover and buffer (training can be provided).
• Cleaning toilets, changing rooms and other sanitary areas and dispose of rubbish in appropriate manner.
• Undertaking specific cleaning programmes during school closure or other designated periods in compliance with the specification for the premises.
• Complying with Child Protection and Health and Safety Policies at all times.

Cleaning Assistant

Hours- 3.00pm-5.45pm Monday- Friday

Actual Salary £9,214 (£24,796 FTE)

We are looking for cleaners who can work both within the existing team and independently to provide a clean and hygienic school environment which meets specified cleaning standards.

Your role will include but is not limited to:

Cleaning all surfaces, fixtures and fittings, walls, partitions and internal woodwork as appropriate.

Cleaning floors using both hoover and buffer (training can be provided).

Cleaning toilets, changing rooms and other sanitary areas and dispose of rubbish in appropriate manner.

Undertaking specific cleaning programmes during school closure or other designated periods in compliance with the specification for the premises.

Complying with Child Protection and Health and Safety Policies at all times.
