Job summary

Castleford Academy is seeking a Cleaning Assistant to join our school team. The role involves cleaning all surfaces, floors and sanitary areas to the required standards and supporting the smooth running of the school environment.

Hours are 13.75 per week, typically 3:00pm to 5:45pm, Monday to Friday, with an actual salary of £9,214 (£24,796 FTE). The academy offers wellbeing support and opportunities for professional development within the Castleford Trust.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning to hygiene standards.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean all surfaces, fixtures and fittings as required.
• Clean floors using hoover and buffer (training provided).
• Clean toilets, changing rooms and sanitary areas; dispose of rubbish properly.
• Undertake specific cleaning programmes during school closures.
• Follow all health and safety and safeguarding policies at all times.
