Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Cleaning Area Manager to lead cleaning operations in a workplace setting.

You will manage a small team, organise rotas, monitor performance, and deliver training while maintaining stringent cleanliness and hygiene standards. The role requires strong communication, safety awareness, and willingness to work at height. Previous supervisory experience in cleaning or food manufacturing is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Background in cleaning/food manufacturing is advantageous.
• Willingness to work at height.
• COSHH and IOSH training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small team, rotas, holidays, and performance; responsible for delivering training to all cleaning operatives and ensuring records are updated correctly.
• Conduct weekly cleaning audits and escalate concerns.
• An awareness of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
• This role may require the use of heavy industrial equipment and working at heights.
