Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning and Waste Operative for a warehouse environment. You will perform general cleaning, tidying of all areas including washrooms and canteens, and manage waste disposal. Training is provided and a Basic Disclosure Check may be required.

The role runs on a night shift from 10pm to 6am, with a 4 on / 2 off pattern. Benefits include holiday entitlement, pension contributions, and various employee perks.

• No experience necessary; full training will be provided.
• Basic Disclosure Check may be required and drug/alcohol screening could be requested.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy all areas within the warehouse, including washrooms and canteens.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use appropriate cleaning products.
• Ensure equipment is kept clean and safe, and respond to client call-outs as needed; manage waste disposal as part of the cleaning/waste team.

Job description

Salary: £13.88 hour

Hours: 8 hours night

Shift Pattern: 10pm to 6am, 4 on / 2 off

Contract: Fixed Term

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
