Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning and Waste Operative to join our warehouse cleaning team. The role involves cleaning and tidying all warehouse areas, including washrooms and canteens, using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.

You will help keep equipment clean, well maintained and compliant with health & safety rules, and you may be asked to respond to client call-outs. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Motivated, reliable and hardworking in a warehouse setting.
• Full training provided, no prior experience required.
• Must complete Basic Disclosure Check; drug/alcohol screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse, including washrooms and canteens.
• Operate cleaning equipment and products to keep areas clean and safe.
• Ensure equipment is clean, well maintained and in safe working order.
• React to client call-outs and comply with health & safety policies.

Job description

Salary: £13.38 hour

Hours: 8 hours day

Shift Pattern: 2pm to 10pm, 4 on / 2 off

Contract: Permanent

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
