Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is hiring a Cleaning and Waste Operative for a warehouse environment. You will perform general cleaning and tidying across the site, including washrooms and canteens, using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.

You will ensure equipment is maintained and safe, handle waste disposal, and respond to client call-outs, with full training provided. Basic Disclosure checks may be required.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training provided.
• Must be able to complete a Basic Disclosure Check.
• Willing to undertake drug and alcohol screening if required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy all areas within the warehouse, including washrooms and canteens.
• Use cleaning equipment and products; keep equipment clean and safe.
• Assist with waste disposal and respond to client call-outs as needed.

Job description

Salary: £13.38 / hour

Hours: 12 hours day

Shift Pattern: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, 4 on / 4 off

Contract: Permanent

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
