Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a motivated Cleaning and Waste Operative to join our warehouse cleaning team. You will perform general cleaning, tidying, and waste management across washrooms and canteens, using appropriate equipment and products.

Training is provided, and you’ll work to health and safety standards with call-out responsiveness as needed. Shifts run from 10 pm to 6 am on a 4-on/2-off pattern, with a permanent contract and £14.63 per hour.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training provided.
• Willing to complete Basic Disclosure Check and possible drug/alcohol screening.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse cleaning and waste environment.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning and tidying of warehouse areas, washrooms and canteens.
• Use cleaning equipment, materials and products; ensure equipment is clean and safe.
• Manage waste disposal and respond to client call-outs; follow health & safety policies.

Job description

Salary: £14.63 / hour

Hours: 8 hours/ day

Shift Pattern: 10 pm to 6 am, 4 on / 2 off

Contract: Permanent

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
