Job summary

Mulberry Academy Bexhill is seeking reliable cleaning staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness across designated areas and events. You will support the cleaning rota, assist with after-hours deep cleans, and help with lettings and space setup during weekends and holidays.

Training on health and safety and safeguarding procedures is provided; you will work as part of a dedicated team to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of your designated area and for maintaining high and consistent standards
• Take initiative to perform cleaning and tidying tasks that are not specifically contained within the rota but require attention as part of maintaining overall high standards
• Liaise with Cleaning, Facilities Manager/team and other members of staff as required to ensure the cleaning rota operates smoothly around both school events and outside lets
• Provide cleaning assistance for special events and lets over weekends and holiday periods
• Take part in specialist and periodic deep cleans out of hours and during holiday periods
• Report cleaning supplies requirements and stock levels to the line manager
• Ensure Health & Safety, quality and general procedure compliance
• Work as part of a team and support other members of the cleaning team to meet standards and school objectives
• Assist the lettings team on occasion with locking up areas and
• Report any Health and Safety issues to the Supervisor, Facilities Manager/Team
• Ensure that areas hired are clean and presentable before and after events
• Under the direction of the Commercial Team assist with the setup of rooms
• Ensure the site security is maintained and elevate any issues or concerns to the Commercial Team/key holder
• Leaf collecting
• Jet washing
• Painting and surface preparation
• Basic maintenance
• Clearing classrooms and setting up furniture
• Rubbish clearance
