Job summary

Walsall Council is recruiting Cleaners (Various Locations) across the borough, including Alumwell Infants School and Little Bloxwich Primary School. The role pays £13.48 per hour on the G2 scale and requires reliable, motivated individuals to maintain high standards of cleanliness in schools and surrounding buildings.

You will vacuum, sweep, wash and deep clean, using powered equipment, with shifts around 3:30 pm and early mornings as listed.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning commercial buildings.
• Understanding of safe use of cleaning chemicals/machinery.

Responsibilities

About the job -duties will include:

• Vacuuming,
• Sweeping,
• Washing,
• Polishing,
• Dusting,
• Emptying litter bins,
• Deep cleaning
• Using powered equipment as required.

About you:

The successful candidate must have an understanding of the safe use of cleaning chemicals/machinery.

You will need to ensure the required standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained within our schools and outlying buildings.

You will be expected to follow all operating procedures to ensure that health and safety requirements are maintained at all times.

Details of positions:

Alumwell Infants School

Hours per week: 11.15hrs - Start Time: 3.30pm

(40 x weeks per year)

Little Bloxwich Primary School

Hours per week: 9.30hrs - Start Time: 6.30am

(38 x weeks per year)
