Job summary

Servicemaster Clean is seeking enthusiastic part-time cleaners for the Newport area. The role covers cleaning duties in commercial settings, with shifts on Thursday and Friday from 4‑6pm.

Training is provided for all new joiners, and individuals who are willing to learn are encouraged to apply. You'll report to the Area Supervisor and contribute to keeping the building clean and orderly, handling basic tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting and waste disposal.

Qualifications

• No previous cleaning experience required; training provided.
• Willingness to learn and reliability.
• Availability Thursday and Friday 4-6pm.
• Able to work independently in a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out basic cleaning in and around the designated area.
• Damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust and sanitise hard surfaces.
• Set up the stock cupboard and monitor stock levels.
• Maintain cleaning equipment to a high standard.
• Transport waste to designated areas and dispose of it properly.
• Perform additional duties as required by the Area Supervisor.

We would love for you to come on board with cleaning experience, but if not, please do not worry! Full training can be provided for any candidate who has a willingness to learn.

Job Purpose

To carry out the cleaning duties assigned to you by your Area Supervisor to a high standard and ensure the building is left in a clean and orderly condition

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• 1. Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around the commercial building or area you are allocated
• 2. General commercial cleaning duties include damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing hard surfaces
• 3. Setting up the stock cupboard, including ordering stock
• 4. Maintaining cleaning equipment to a high standard
• 5. Transporting waste to the assigned areas
• 6. Perform additional duties as and when required by your Area Supervisor
