Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking a School Cleaner for Maes Y Coed Special School in Bryncoch, Neath. The role is term-time, 13.5 hours per week, with afternoon shifts Monday to Thursday and Friday.

You will join a dedicated cleaning team, uphold high cleanliness standards, and contribute to a safe learning environment for pupils. The post offers Local Government Pension Scheme contributions, a competitive hourly rate, and access to employer wellbeing and development opportunities.

Location Maes Y Coed Special School. Salary £13.27 per hour. Contractual hours 13.5. Basis Term Time. Job category/type Catering and Cleaning.

Hours: 13.5 hours per week - 41 weeks per year - Term Time Working

Monday to Thursday 3:30 pm - 6:15 pm

Friday 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Location of post: Ysgol Maes Y Coed, Main Road, Bryncoch, Neath, SA10 7TY.

We are currently looking for a School Cleaner to join Team NPT.

You’ll join our excellent cleaning team that was shortlisted for the Best Service Team category at the prestigious APSE Awards. The team is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school to ensure pupils are able to learn in a clean and safe environment.

Some experience is necessary for the role, but all successful candidates will undergo a full induction and training programme.
