Job summary

Serco Limited in Lancaster is hiring a Cleaner to support the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services (AASC) contract. You will maintain clean, safe, and welcoming properties for people seeking asylum, working across dispersed sites with a company van provided.

The role offers a 37.5-hour week with flexible hours between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, the chance to contribute to vulnerable communities, and a pension and benefits package that recognises your contribution.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning domestic properties or similar environments.
• A valid UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
• Good communication and basic IT skills.
• A reliable and proactive approach, with pride in delivering high standards.
• Experience cleaning larger or shared households would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Clean dispersed accommodation properties and communal areas to agreed standards
• Travel between sites using a company vehicle to carry out cleaning duties
• Ensure properties are hygienic, safe, and ready for occupancy when required
• Report maintenance concerns or property issues identified during visits
• Follow health and safety procedures and safe working practices at all times
• Take pride in maintaining welcoming environments that support residents' wellbeing
