Job summary

Serco in Lancaster is hiring a Cleaner to support the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services (AASC) contract. You will clean dispersed properties and communal areas, travel between sites in a company vehicle, and ensure spaces are hygienic and ready for occupancy.

The role offers 37.5 hours per week with flexible hours 8:00–18:00, Monday to Friday, a salary of £27,300 plus a company van and benefits. A valid UK driving licence is essential, and you will work as part of a dedicated team making

  • Previous experience cleaning domestic properties or similar environments.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Good communication and basic IT skills.
  • Reliable and proactive approach with pride in delivering high standards.

As a Cleaner in our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) team, you’ll help ensure that accommodation is clean, safe, and welcoming for people seeking asylum. Your work will directly support individuals and families by maintaining high standards across the properties we manage.

Through our AASC contract, we provide accommodation and support for people while their asylum claims are being processed. What You’ll Do As a Cleaner
