Job summary

Serco is seeking a dedicated Cleaner for the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract in Rochdale. The role involves cleaning dispersed properties and common areas, traveling between sites in a company vehicle, and ensuring spaces are hygienic and ready for occupancy.

You will support residents by maintaining high cleaning standards and adhering to health and safety practices, with a focus on trust, care, and pride in public service delivery.

Qualifications

Location: Rochdale

Salary: £27,300 plus company van (driving licence essential) and excellent benefits

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week with flexible working hours between 8:00am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday

As a Cleaner in our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) team, you’ll help ensure that accommodation is clean, safe, and welcoming for people seeking asylum. Your work will directly support individuals and families by maintaining high standards across the properties we manage.

Through our AASC contract, we provide accommodation and support for people while their asylum claims are being processed. As part of a team committed to trust, care, innovation, and pride, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive impact on communities and helping some of the most vulnerable people in society feel safe, respected, and supported. What You’ll Do As a Cleaner
