Job summary

Pinfold Street Primary School is seeking a part-time cleaner to join the premises team. The role runs 10 hours per week over 39 weeks of term time, with 3:30pm–5:30pm shifts, Monday to Friday. Duties include general cleaning, deep cleaning, and using powered equipment.

A DBS check is required; closing date is Noon 16th September 2026. Salary is fixed for SCP range G2 with actual salary £5,854.60 for the term-time period.

Qualifications

• Experience of operating cleaning machinery and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Understanding of COSHH and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, sweeping, washing, polishing, mopping and dusting.
• Emptying litter bins and deep cleaning as required.
• Providing cover when needed and using powered equipment as required.
• Areas include classrooms, toilets, teaching spaces and corridors.

We are looking to appoint a new cleaner to join our premise team. The role is permanent and part time, 10 hours per week for 39 weeks, term time only, training days included.

The hours will be Monday – Friday; 3:30pm – 5:30pm.

Grade: G2, the SCP range is: 4, actual salary will be £5854.60
