Penygelli School is seeking to appoint a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Cleaner to join our friendly and supportive school team. This is a permanent post offering 16 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, with a salary of £9,484 per annum (G02). The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Full training will be provided, and we value safeguarding and teamwork within our school community.

Formación

• Clean classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and carry out deep-cleaning duties as required.
• Operate cleaning equipment, including floor-cleaning machinery.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are used safely and stored correctly.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards and health and safety concerns promptly.
• Follow school cleaning schedules, procedures and health and safety requirements.

Penygelli School is seeking to appoint a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Cleaner to join our friendly and supportive school team.

Permanent 16 hours per week 39 weeks per year G02 - £9,484 per annum

The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to the smooth running of a school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and carrying out deep-cleaning duties as required.
• Operating cleaning equipment, including floor-cleaning machinery, where appropriate.
• Ensuring cleaning supplies are used safely and stored correctly.
• Reporting maintenance issues, hazards and health and safety concerns promptly.
• Following school cleaning schedules, procedures and health and safety requirements.

• Has a positive attitude and excellent attention to detail.
• Has previous cleaning experience (desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided).
