Job summary

The Eresby School in Spilsby is seeking cleaners to join our school team and help maintain high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, offices and communal areas.

We offer flexible cleaning hours with a pro-rata salary for part-time hours. An enhanced DBS check is required for successful applicants and staff are supported by the David Ross Education Trust.

Qualifications

  • Basic standard of education.
  • Ability to clean and maintain a full range of cleaning equipment and materials.
  • Ability to use tact and demonstrate empathy with facility users, students and staff.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Understanding of health and safety issues associated with cleaning materials, equipment and premises.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake a full range of cleaning duties using domestic and industrial cleaning equipment to ensure all areas of the educational setting are maintained to a specified quality standard
  • Clean floor space in teaching, communal and office areas using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Clean all internal surface areas e.g. walls, windows, work surfaces and sanitary appliances using appropriate techniques, equipment and materials.

Job description

Our cleaners play a pivotal role in our school, to ensure that we provide the best possible learning environments for our students. Our cleaners are part of our whole school team who ensure we continue to provide the highest standard of education.

The role:
  • Undertake a full range of cleaning duties using domestic and industrial cleaning equipment to ensure all areas of the educational setting are maintained to a specified quality standard
  • Clean floor space in teaching, communal and office areas using appropriate techniques and equipment e.g. mops, sweeps, spray cleans, machine scrub, dry, buff, and suction clean
  • Clean all internal surface areas e.g. walls, windows, work surfaces and sanitary appliances using appropriate techniques, equipment and materials e.g. washing; dusting; damp wiping; polishing and cleaning.

We have a number of cleaning hours available, which we are happy to offer on a flexible basis.

Salary & Benefits

NJC3, FTE £24,796 per annum. Part time hours paid on a pro-rata basis based on contracted hours.
