Job summary

Skipton Girls' High School is seeking a reliable cleaner to join the facilities team. The role is 15 hours per week, term-time only plus 2 weeks, with duties including cleaning classrooms, corridors, and restrooms.

Working hours are 3:45pm to 6:45pm, Monday to Friday, on a fixed-term contract until 31 December 2026. The successful candidate will be reliable, flexible, and able to work independently while following school cleaning protocols and safety policies.

Qualifications

  • We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy cleaner to join the team.
  • Hours: 15 hours per week, term time only plus 2 weeks.
  • Fixed term contract until 31 December 2026.
  • Experience in cleaning duties is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • General dusting of furniture, fixings and fittings.
  • Emptying waste paper bins.
  • Wiping surfaces, fixtures, fittings and paintwork.
  • Cleaning around toilet areas.
  • Dust control mopping and floor sweeping.
  • Using cleaning materials as instructed.

Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a reliable and trustworthy cleaner to carry out cleaning duties within allocated timescales, whilst taking a flexible approach in order to meet the school's requirements.

Hours of Work: 15 hours per week, term time only plus 2 weeks.
3:45pm - 6:45pm Monday - Friday

This is a fixed term contract until 31st December 2026.

Duties will include (but not exhaustive):

  • General dusting of furniture, fixings and fittings
  • Emptying waste paper bins
