Job summary

Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is seeking a Cleaner to join our team on a part-time basis. This 24-hour role runs Tuesday to Friday, 10:00–16:00, at PC - Cheadle, Stockport.

Training is provided, no prior experience required, and you will contribute to a safe, clean environment across wards in a mental health inpatient service accessible by public transport. We offer full training and a supportive environment with pathways to leadership and clinical positions.

• Good standard of English is required.
• No prior cleaning experience is necessary; full training will be provided.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the site.

Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is looking to recruit a Cleaner to join our team across all wards. This is a part time role of 24 hours.

We know that a clean, safe environment is essential to delivering outstanding care. That’s why our Cleaners play such an important role in our services.

We’re looking for people who care and take pride in contributing to an essential service. You don’t need previous experience – just a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. In return, we’ll support you with full training and the opportunity to be part of a team that makes a real difference every day. Working hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10.00-16.00.Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal, Stockport is an inpatient mental health service for young people and adults. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes along Wilmslow Road and Cheadle Hulme and East Didsbury railway stations approximately 1–2 miles from the service.

What you’ll be doing

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the site
• Following cleaning schedules and Priory standards
• Using cleaning equipment safely and effectively
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage, or hazards
• Working as part of a team to deliver a high-quality service
• Supporting colleagues where required

What you'll bring to the role

• Good standard of English, with basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
