Job summary

Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join our Site Support team. This permanent role offers 24 hours per week on a shift rota, typically 7am–5pm, across weekdays and weekends.

The position is based at Cheadle, Stockport, in a peaceful setting with hospital services. No prior cleaning experience is required as full training is provided; we value a positive attitude, reliability, and team spirit.

Description

Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is looking to recruit a Cleaner to join our team. This is a part time permanent position working 24 hour on a shift/rota basis through the week.

We know that a clean, safe environment is essential to delivering outstanding care. That’s why our Cleaners play such an important role in our services.

We’re looking for people who care and take pride in contributing to an essential service. You don’t need previous experience – just a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. We are happy to discuss your preferences for working days and hours, with shifts typically available between 7am–5pm, Monday to Sunday.

Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults.

The focus of our service is to help people to live their best life in a safe and supportive environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the site

• Using cleaning equipment safely and effectively
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage, or hazards
• Working as part of a team to deliver a high-quality service
• Supporting colleagues where required

What you'll bring to the role

• Good standard of English, with basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided

• Physical stamina to carry out an active role throughout the day
