Job summary

Norse Group LTD is seeking a reliable Cleaner for an over-primary school site in Cambridge. The role is part-time, 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, with an hourly rate of £12.71.

You will maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment, working independently while building positive relationships with clients and site teams. DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• No formal experience required; right attitude and willingness to learn are valued.
• Previous cleaning or caretaking experience is an advantage.
• Must be reliable, responsible and take pride in work.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors and rooms (dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming).
• Clean restrooms and stock sanitary stations.
• Empty bins and maintain high cleanliness standards across site.
• Build friendly, professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment.

We’re looking for a reliable, friendly and hardworking Cleaner to join our team on a part-time basis, working 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday – 3.30pm till 5.30pm

You’ll play an important part in keeping the site clean, safe and welcoming for everyone who uses it, while building positive relationships with our clients and site teams.

What you’ll be doing

Every day will be about making sure the site looks its best. Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning floors and rooms, including dusting, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.
• Cleaning restrooms and keeping sanitary stations clean, tidy and fully stocked.
• Emptying bins and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the site.
• Building friendly and professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Following health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
• Identifying and reporting any defects, damage or maintenance issues.
• Taking pride in your work and helping to create a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to have years of experience —the right attitude and a commitment to doing a great job are just as important.

Previous cleaning, caretaking or similar experience would be an advantage, and we’re looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, responsible and takes pride in their work.
• Friendly and approachable, with good communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently and using their own initiative.
• Organised, with excellent attention to detail.
• Aware of the importance of health and safety in the workplace.
• Professional and confident when interacting with clients and colleagues.
