Leading by example, the postholder will be required to undertake cleaning duties as part of their role.

Applications for this permanent post are welcomed from all candidates who take real pride in their work, are happy to follow and to give direction, and can work effectively as part of a team.

Working hours are 3.30-6.30pm Monday-Friday, 15 hours per week 43 weeks per year.

Actual Salary £10,045.00 per annum (Grade3, SCP 4)

Please note that although the majority of work is done during the school term and on staff training days, this post also includes 4 weeks worked during the school holidays.

Whilst every effort has been made to explain the main duties and responsibilities of this post, the school requires flexibility and a can-do attitude in all of its employees and as part of our support staff team the postholder should be willing to learn new skills as required.

The postholder will also be required to perform other tasks as and when may be necessary to ensure the smooth running of the school.

The MOJ’s guidance on the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the Exceptions Order 1975, provides information about which convictions must be declared during job applications and related exceptions and further information about filtering offences can be found in the DBS filtering guide.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

Our school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
