Job summary

First Bus is seeking a Cleaner/Fueller/Shunter for Weston-Super-Mare depot. You will fuel, clean, and prepare vehicles for shifts, ensuring readiness for road use.

Role includes cleaning duties, vehicle checks, and light maintenance at the Weston-super-Mare site. A valid UK driving license is essential; shifts include mornings with late shift coverage when required.

Responsibilities

• Fuelling/charging and shunting vehicles around the depot.
• Carrying out under chassis washing and exterior cleaning with a pressure washer.
• Checking and topping up oil and water as required.
• Carrying out interior cleaning duties and general site maintenance.
• Recording details of all work and completing required sheets/records.

Position: Cleaner/Fueller/Shunter

Location: Weston-Super-Mare depot, Searle Crescent, BS23 3XP

Contracted Hours: 39 per week - full time & permanent

Shifts: 5 days per week, 7am-3pm - must be available to cover holidays on late shift between 6pm-2am as and when required

Hourly Rate: £14.31

Annual Salary: Approx. £29,020 per annum

As a Cleaner/Fueller/Shunter , you’ll play a vital role in making sureour vehicles are ready to hit the road each day at our busy Weston-Super-Mare depot.

For helping keep our fleet on the road, you’ll earn a good hourly payrate and great rewards & benefits (see below).

Key Responsibilities:

• Fuelling/charging and shunting vehicles around the depot ready for shift or next clean

• Carry out vehicle under chassis washing, including exterior cleaning using a pressure washer

• Ensure that oil and water and top ups are carried out as required

• Carry out other bus interior cleaning duties and general site maintenance as and when required

• To record details of all work done and accurately complete any necessary sheets/record cards

About You:

• Bus driving experience would be beneficial, a PCV license is not essential as we can support you in gaining this
