Job summary

Victoria Infant and Nursery School in Barrow-In-Furness is seeking a friendly part-time cleaner to join our team. The role covers cleaning classrooms, toilet areas and shared school spaces after school hours, with a 3pm–6pm shift.

This is a 15-hour-per-week, permanent post starting on 2 November 2026, subject to a six‑month induction period. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and other pre‑employment checks are required to safeguard pupils.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, toilet areas and shared school spaces throughout the building.
• Working hours are 3pm to 6pm, 15 hours per week.
• Training will be given where required.

A vacancy has arisen in our friendly and welcoming school for a cleaner to work as part of a team in our friendly school.

OP1 £24,413 per annum pro rata, (plus the living wage supplement hourly £13.45). Full year.

Required for 15 hours per week.

The working hours will be 3pm until 6pm.

Permanent contract subject to the successful completion of a 6 month induction period.

Duties will include cleaning the classrooms, the toilet areas and shared school areas throughout the building.

Training will be given where required.
