Job Title: Cleaner

Location: Winstanley College, Billinge, Wigan, WN5 7XF

Salary: S3 £24,759 (actual £13,382)

Contract Type: Part-time / Permanent / Full Year

Working Hours: 20 hours per week / 3.30 – 7.30 pm (differing working hours during College holidays)

Start Date: TBC

About Us

Winstanley College is a vibrant and inclusive sixth form College committed to providing outstanding education and support for our students aged 16 – 19. We take pride in our clean, safe and welcoming campus and are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our facilities team.

The Role

We are seeking a conscientious and dedicated individual to carry out cleaning duties to a high standard across the College site. You will play a key role in ensuring that teaching and communal areas are kept clean, hygienic and safe for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • General cleaning of classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices and communal areas
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely
  • Ensuring cleaning materials are used responsibly and stored correctly
  • Reporting any maintenance or health & safety issues to the property manager
About You
  • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • Understanding of health and safety in cleaning environment
  • Previous cleaning experience would be advantageous, but not essential
