Job summary

Kindred are looking for hardworking and reliable cleaners to be based in an educational building located in West Bromwich. The role pays £12.71 per hour and runs Monday to Friday from 15:30 to 18:00 at Clarkes Ln, West Bromwich B71 2BX.

Responsibilities include general cleaning, sanitising surfaces, replenishing supplies, waste disposal, and occasional deep cleaning. A DBS check is required and English communication is essential. You may work independently or as part of a small team.

Qualifications

• Complete tasks within a specified timeframe.

• Clean and sanitise surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste correctly.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.
• Carry out periodic deep-cleaning tasks and use appropriate cleaning materials.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and report hazards.

• Requirements: Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

About The Role

Responsibilities

General Cleaning Tasks

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.
• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Specialist & Deep Cleaning

• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).
• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Using cleaning equipment safely (e.g., buffers, steamers, vacuums), ensuring proper storage after use.
• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.

Teamwork & Independence

• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.
