Job summary

Kindred is seeking reliable cleaners for an educational building in Tonbridge. The role is based at Somerhill House with evening shifts from 18:00 to 23:00, Monday to Friday. DBS check is required and full adherence to COSHH and safety regulations will be expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum criteria include ability to complete physical tasks with reasonable adjustments

Responsibilities

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
• Clean and sanitise surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture
• Empty bins and dispose of waste correctly
• Replenish supplies such as soap and paper towels
• Carry out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (carpets, floor polishing)
• Use cleaning equipment safely and store properly
• Report maintenance issues or damages promptly
• Work independently or with colleagues to maintain high cleanliness standards

Kindred are looking for hardworking and reliable cleaners to be based in an educational building located in: Tonbridge.

• Pay: £14.00 per hour.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 18:00-23:00
• Location: Somerhill House, Tonbridge TN11 0NJ
• Requirements: Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

About The Role

Responsibilities:

General Cleaning Tasks:

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.
• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Specialist & Deep Cleaning:

• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).
• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Using cleaning equipment safely (e.g., buffers, steamers, vacuums), ensuring proper storage after use.
• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.

Teamwork & Independence:

• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.
