Job summary

Kindred are looking for hardworking and reliable cleaners to be based in an educational building located in Letchworth Garden City. The role pays £12.71 per hour with a Monday to Friday, 18:00-21:00 schedule.

Location is Highfield, Letchworth Garden City SG6 3QA. Successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check. A range of company benefits and development opportunities are offered by Kindred.

Qualifications

• Able to complete the physical demands of the role with reasonable adjustments.
• To be able to follow instructions (including written) and work safely for periods of time on their own.
• Complete tasks within a specified timeframe.
• An ability to communicate in English, although English as a first language is not a requirement.
• Able to fulfil the shift patterns because the timings of the role would be fixed.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.
• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.
• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).
• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.
• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.
• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.

About The Role

Responsibilities:

General Cleaning Tasks:

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
