Horizon Leisure Centres in Waterlooville is seeking a Cleaner to join the Operations team. The role focuses on maintaining high cleanliness standards across all areas and supporting duty management in delivering a first-class leisure facility.

The position requires a proactive, self-motivated team player with good communication, flexibility, and attention to detail. Training is provided, and there are extensive benefits and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar cleaning role preferred.
• COSHH and Health and Safety knowledge desirable.
• Cleanliness and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness in all areas.
• Clean and prepare wet and dry side areas according to the current cleaning schedule.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations; safely use cleaning equipment.
• Be prepared to take on extra cleaning duties as required by the Duty Manager.

Your Role

To assist the Duty Management Team in the provision of a first class leisure facility to all Horizon Leisure Centre customers.

Your Team

You’ll be working within our Operations Team and directly reporting to the Duty Manager.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in all areas.

• Clean and prepare both wet side/dry side areas in accordance with the current cleaning schedule.

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations. To safely use cleaning machinery when required.

• To be prepared to take on extra cleaning duties that are not on the cleaning schedule as and when required by the Duty Manager.

Your Experience

• Experience of a similar role preferred

• COSHH and Health and Safety desirable
