Job summary

Horizon Leisure Centres in Waterlooville is seeking a Casual Lifeguard to help run a first-class leisure facility. You will assist the Duty Management Team and support customers with queries while maintaining safety.

Candidates should hold RLSS NPLQ and First Aid, be physically fit, and work flexibly across sites. Previous lifeguard experience in wet and dry facilities is preferred. DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer services environment.
• Centre Attendant/Lifeguard experience in wet and dry centre.
• First Aid certification required or willing to undertake.
• Manual Handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Use the Horizon HELLO in all customer interactions.
• Welcome and assist customers with enquiries.
• Be knowledgeable about products and services.
• Undertake lifeguarding and operational duties as directed.
• Maintain facilities cleanliness and safety.
• Ensure customers and staff are treated with respect.
• Ensure safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.
• Set up and take down of sports equipment per schedules.

Your Role

To assist the Duty Management Team in the operation and presentation of a first-class leisure facility to all Horizon Leisure Centre customers

Your Team

You’ll be working within our Operations Team and directly reporting to the Duty Manager.

Your Responsibilities

• Use the Horizon HELLO in all customer interactions

• Welcome and assist customers with general enquiries

• Understand and be knowledgeable about our products and services

• Undertake lifeguarding duties and operational duties as directed by the Duty Management Team

• Maintain and monitor all facilities to ensure cleanliness is paramount and always free of hazards

• Responsible for ensuring customers are treated with respect

• Responsible for ensuring staff are treated with respect

• Responsible for the safety of all customers and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults

• Set-up and take down of sports equipment according to schedules

Your Experience

• Experience of working in a customer services environment

• Experience as a Centre Attendant/Lifeguard in a wet and dry centre

• First Aid

• Manual Handling

Your Qualifications

• RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willing to undertake)

• HSE First Aid Qualification desirable

• Certificates in COSHH & Health & Safety desirable

This role will be based at Waterlooville but will be expected to travel to other company site as the need requires.
