Job summary

Compass Group UK is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams in Torquay. This role is contracted to 20 hours per week over 44 weeks per year, with evenings shifts and a supportive team.

You will help maintain hygienic environments and support clients and customers with a bright, reliable cleaning service. We value hands-on workers who are flexible, detail-oriented, and able to adapt to changing duties.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard.
• Ensure surfaces, floors, windows and touchpoints are sanitised regularly.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies; report needs for replenishment.
• Handle spillages promptly and safely to maintain hygiene standards.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste and maintain waste procedures.
• Work alongside cleaning teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for clients.

We're currently recruiting a part time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Compass Group UK&I, contracted to 20 hours per week. As one of our dedicated Cleaners, you will help to deliver on our promise to always create the best and brightest experiences for our clients and customers. If you're a committed Cleaner looking for a role you'll shine in, we've got the position for you.

Here's an idea of what your shift pattern will be:

• Mon: Evenings
• Tues: Evenings
• Weds: Evenings
• Thurs: Evenings
• Fri: Evenings

Please note: This role is contracted to 44 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our ideal Cleaner will:

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
