Job summary

SeeMeHired is seeking hardworking and reliable cleaners to join The Minster School team in Southwell.

You will perform general cleaning tasks in an educational building, including dusting, floor care, waste disposal, and restocking supplies, with opportunities for specialist deep cleaning.

The role is Mon-Fri, 15:30-18:30, paid £12.71 per hour, and includes a DBS check as part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience.
• Knowledge of COSHH.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Willingness to follow instructions and work safely.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning tasks across the educational building.

Job description

General Cleaning Tasks:

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.
• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Specialist & Deep Cleaning:

• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).
• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Using cleaning equipment safely (e.g., buffers, steamers, vacuums), ensuring proper storage after use.
• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.

Teamwork & Independence:

• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.
