Job summary

FOX MORRIS GROUP LTD is hiring a Cleaner to join the premises team at a school in the UK. The role involves cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors and washrooms to maintain a healthy learning environment. You will be responsible for waste disposal, replenishing supplies and reporting hazards.

Candidates should be reliable, punctual and physically fit, able to work on their own initiative or within a small team, and compliant with safeguarding procedures. An Enhanced DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning of classrooms, offices, corridors, halls, stairwells, washrooms and communal areas including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and polishing.
• Empty, clean and sanitise waste and recycling bins, and dispose of waste responsibly.
• Clean and sanitise washroom facilities, replenish consumables (soap, toilet roll, hand towels) and check for leaks or damage.
• Clean internal glass doors, windows and display boards as required.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely, following all instructions, COSHH guidelines and training provided.
• Report any maintenance issues, damage, safety hazards or security concerns to the Premises Manager or Senior Member of Staff promptly.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and stores are kept tidy, secure and in good working order.
• Work flexibly to cover absence or additional cleaning duties during school events, deep cleans or holiday periods as reasonably required.
• Adhere to all school policies, health and safety rules and safeguarding procedures at all times
