Job summary

SeeMeHired is seeking reliable cleaners to work in an educational building in Dunstable. You will perform general cleaning tasks, including deeper cleaning as needed, and support health and safety compliance. A DBS check is required for all successful applicants.

Shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 15:00-18:00. Pay is £12.71 per hour. COSHH knowledge and the ability to follow written instructions are essential; good English communication is expected. English may not be your first language.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations beneficial.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning: dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors.
• Sanitising surfaces, touchpoints and furniture.
• Emptying bins and disposing waste correctly.

General Cleaning Tasks

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.
• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Specialist & Deep Cleaning

• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).
• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Using cleaning equipment safely (e.g., buffers, steamers, vacuums), ensuring proper storage after use.
• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.

Teamwork & Independence

• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.
