Job summary

Callen-Lenz in Salisbury, Wiltshire, is seeking a part-time Cleaner on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role focuses on maintaining a clean and pleasant environment for colleagues and visitors in a growing aerospace-related business.

You will clean floors, bathrooms and kitchens, tidy meeting spaces, and ensure supplies are stocked. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks while conforming to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure floors are cleaned regularly.
• Ensure meeting spaces are tidy with worktops and desks clean.
• Remove litter and empty shared bins regularly.
• Ensure all bathrooms are cleaned daily and supplies are stocked.
• Ensure all kitchen spaces are cleaned daily and dishes are cleaned and put away.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are ordered as needed.
• Create and promote a safe working environment in line with COSHH and HASAW requirements.
• Perform other duties as required.

About the role

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be required to consistently ensure Callen-Lenz is a clean and pleasant environment for colleagues and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure floors are cleaned regularly.
• Ensure meeting spaces are tidy with worktops and desks are clean.
• Remove litter and empty shared bins regularly.
• Ensure all bathrooms are cleaned daily and toilet rolls, soaps are readily available.
• Ensure all kitchen spaces are cleaned daily and where required all cutlery and mugs are cleaned and put away.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are regularly required and ordered where required.
• Create and promote a safe working environment consistent with all applicable company and legislative requirements (e.g. COSHH, HASAW, HSE).
• Perform other duties as required.

Health & Safety

• Demonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner.
• Report all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner.
• When required or directed, participate in any health and safety training.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Experience within a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to manage priorities.

Desirable:

• Experience working within an in house cleaning team.

Personal Attributes

• Enthusiasm for their work and self-motivated.
• Must be a British Citizen or have an existing right to work in the UK.
• A full valid UK driving license.
• Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK.
