Job summary

Batley Girls' High School is seeking a part-time cleaner to join our premises team in Batley, West Yorkshire. The role is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 2.45 p.m. - 5.45 p.m., all year round, with training provided where needed.

You will perform a range of cleaning duties to keep classrooms, corridors and communal areas clean and well presented for learners, staff and visitors. The post is subject to safeguarding checks and an enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors throughout the school.
• Vacuum-clean carpets and hard floors.
• Damp wipe and polish surfaces.
• Empty litter bins and manage waste.
• Work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness.

We are looking for someone who enjoys cleaning and who takes a real pride in the important role of keeping our school environment clean and well presented for our learners, staff and visitors. Working as part of a team, you will undertake a variety of cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuum cleaning, damp wiping, polishing and emptying litter bins.
